St. Joe DC brings the loaders in on the short bus. Had a load today that I had 20 straps on. Thank God I have plenty of 2in straps.

Yeah, they're real bright in Westfield for sure. I was in there sometimes 3 or 4 times a week, and it never changed, though they did start bringing the gross weights down. I had left there a few times grossing in excess of 90k, but that got fixed. Now if they'd get the weight distribution part down.... 46k on drive axles is not nice to the equipment.

Yeah. I was in there probably 25-30 times when i worked for TMC, had to have them re-adjust nearly every load. I made plans on it. It was a good opportunity to teach trainee's about weight distribution, and the trouble that you have to go through sometimes to avoid a ticket.
I still miss it, i wish this crap wasn't happening, I'd come back. I got a job today at a steel plant as a supervisor, making about the same as i'd make local for Estes or something like that, benefits, etc. Think i'll just take a break from trucking and go back to school while i'm doing this.. It seems like a solid gig, i just hope they keep busy and don't start laying off in a month. -
Good luck Eckz on your new job and school........

I'm trying to get an OTR job atm, but if the foundry called me back I'd take it.
Maybe if enough guys leave TMC, I can get into orientation -
Thanks for the well wishes, guys. And likewise back to all of you as well, I hope things pan out over there and TMC goes back to the good old days.

Glad to hear your back to work eckz, Good Luck at your new venture!!

sorry kids, been real busy. when I left off I think I was sitting in NJ with a 126 mile load of drywall for Monday. got unloaded, 85 mile bounce north in NJ to get a 456 mile load of rebar going to Ontario. made it up there Tuesday morning, bounced another 85 miles to John Deere just west of Niagara Falls and got a load to Laredo, TX, 1773 miles. ran into some problems at the border because it was a bonded load, got things cleared with customs and went home. since this was a long run, it didn't hurt me to swing by home and do some laundry since I knew I was going to be out this weekend. left mid morning Wednesday, rolled into Laredo Friday afternoon. I insisted on a long load for the weekend, I was going to be pissed if I had to sit the long holiday weekend, or run something 126 miles like last weekend. there was a 1000 mile load of Mexican pipe going to KS waiting for me when I got there, all I had to do was swap trailers. ended up at a TA about 75 miles from my first stop, doing my 34 hour restart. all in all an average week last week and shaping up to be an average week this week, I was able to avoid a below average week due to my short weekend run by taking this long run to TX, and was able to offset the holiday this week by taking this long run to KS. 950 miles from home, goal is to run 2500 miles this week and get home, been out 3 weeks with about 14 hours at home last week. 2491 miles last week, 3 tarp jobs, right around $1000 gross. net take home was $684 on $1050 gross on my check for the week before that, but I am sitting on about $100 in toll receipts because I ran out of expense sheets. it all evens out in the end.
