This is a continuation of the previous thread entitled " WERNER- Greg Werner says "just take the truck". If you are new to this topic, I would suggest that you take a read through the posts in that thread first.
And starting a new thread is perfect for a new adventure in breakdowns. As I stated at the end of the thread, the truck began to have intermittent "Check Engine" codes.
According to Freightliner, the active codes are the turbo (12), and the ECM (52).
Any bets on how much longer its gonna be for this truck? Or when it wont start next?
Also, if there are any more issues with "trolls" and other issues (i.e. selective censoring), I will just take the screencaps from this board, and start a blog on the entire matter. The link will be in my profile if this thread is locked and closed.
/small rant
As for any complaints about the thread starting again, I suggest you talk to BAACK, as he said it was fine, as long as the flaming didn't start up again... and you know who you are, and you are now on IGNORE.

Steele, i hope that maybe that truck just plain falls apart in the shop, so that Highlander can be rid of it, good luck.
-
I run the shaker and the check engine flashes most days (1/2 sec or faster usually, at most 2 sec). No engine stumble with the flashes. 509k miles.
I think it's a mis-fire with injectors that are wearing out. I also get an engine stumble at 1170rpm, but not with the cruise on (I hit cruise to power thru it if I must)-go figure. And the company I run at one time was all shaker -they should know what the problem is.
Note: None of this will help the Mex-Shakers =when your truck starts falling apart you are truely on your own. -

And now I guess I will never know the end. Just like watching a mini series on tv and then missing the end due to no signal while on the road

The ECM may be a problem. My last truck was a Freightshaker Columbia class, and I developed ECM problems 3 weeks before the truck was due to be traded in. The Check Engine light came on, and I ran it into the company shop (Not Werner, a REAL company!). The mechanics diagnosed the problem, confirmed the problem, and then called me in to consult. They told me what was goin gon with the truck, and because of the lease agreement between the company and Freightliner, the company was not permitted to mess with the ECM. We had the choice of running the truck for the rest of it's term, or taking it to a freightliner shop, and waiting an indeterminate time. I was assured by the mechanics assured me that this wasn't gonna leave me stranded at the side of the road, they thought. After talking to the mechanics, I decided to just run the truck, and let Freightliner deal with it when the truck got turned in. Company finally agreed with me, after trying to get me to give up the truck early. Why didn't I give up the truck, you ask? Because my truck was a raised roof model, and all the other trucks were condos. I knew I was gonna have to move into a condo, but I wanted to put it off for as long as possible. Not a big fan of condos. Too much space to lose stuff.

And what does this have to do with Werener 2 ???
-
Just explaining to Steele that in my experience, ECM problems could leave Highlander sitting some more. Depends on what the problem is, and what Werner and Freightliner are gonna do about it.
Steele, did the mechanics figure out what exactly is wrong with Highlander's ECM and turbo? -
Update:
He did not take the truck in to Freightliner. The "moron light" seems to be an intermittent issue. In addition to the "Active" codes, there were two "Inactive" codes which were for low voltage issues.
As for getting the problem fixed, well, it comes to this what does one do? Do you take more time off the road, after already losing two weeks for a problem that might shut you down, but the truck is running with an intermittent issue.
Or do you just drive the stupid thing, try to make some money, and take the wait and see attitude?
He knows this might leave him sitting somewhere and he does seem a bit stressed about it. Especially on loads that take him out in the middle of nowhere, on secondary roads, with no cell or QComm signal.
He still doesn't know if he has 8/9th as they haven't sent him in the mountains yet.
If I seem a little down, sorry. We had to put one of our cats down yesterday.. so a little part of our lives are empty right now. Not to whine or looking for sympathy.. or anything like that. Just missing a "friend". -
Tell him to put a piece of black tape over that "Idiot Light" and dont worry about it...LOL

So today is payroll day for Werner. Via the QComm or the Werner website you can check your payroll. But lets take a look back over Highlanders pay for the past few weeks.
The week of 08/20 his check after deductions was around $200.
The week of 08/27 his check was for $20 which ended up being $0 due to taxes and deductions for one shag, which he actually did two, and did not get paid for one of them thanks to his dispatcher.
This week of 09/03... well.. try ZERO
So lets take a look back at what Highlander has earned since his truck broke down. Ten days of breakdown pay and one shag that had not been paid for. Breakdown pay is not paid until the truck is back on the board... or so we were told. Last week Highlander ran over 2500 miles with 5 drops. His trip envelopes were dropped off via TripPac last Saturday, August 29th at Petro here in Vegas like he always does. And has never had any problem with dropping them off here before.
Highlander checked his payroll today. Guess how much his check is? Wait.. HES NOT GETTING A CHECK. Payroll says they just got his two TripPacs today... FIVE DAYS after it being turned in...... And breakdown is not paid until AFTER they receive the first completed trip. And somehow the missing shag from the previous week, was also attached to the completed trip.
Certain words come to mind................... and unfortunately, none I can post here...
So lets look at how much money Highlander has gotten in net pay after deductions for the past three weeks... a little over $200.
And how much do they owe him right now? One shag, ten days of breakdown pay, 2500 miles, and 5 drops......... So lets see here.. thats around $1300 before taxes that Werner is making interest off of.
More stock was sold................. and Werner.. keep up the BS.... you make it easier for a lawsuit for harassment against whistle blowing. Remember, he has plenty of stock to keep us rolling for quite awhile. After several weeks of issues with payroll.. its called a trend..... are you going to continue this trend?
