At least that is one perk that I'm getting because of this whole pandemic.
I can understand the reluctance drivers have from using the shower but is it really worth it?
Well I have sure noticed there's a lot more shower availability at all times of day

I've noticed it too.....but I dont know if it's so much fear as it is that trucks are having to move a lot more, not as much down time in recent weeks. In Salina, KS, yesterday, I could have picked any shower I wanted at that pilot

i'm including hands, face, neck, not just a shower.
always remember, the table you sit at, was once sat at by some slovenly dirty trucker, who put his hands all over the condiments bottles or packages at that table. remember the days of phones being at those tables?
i do, and they were as dirty as everything else. i actually used hand wipes before grabbing that phone.....of course back then, cell phones were an oddity, and not too many drivers had one.
all in all, being clean is not a sin.
being dirty is not only a sin but unhealthy.
so go ahead, and grab that catsup/ketchup bottle or mustard bottle, or those packets of grape jelly, and say hello to Mr. Corona....or diphtheria, or any other disease that dirty slob left for you.Savor the Flavor, JonJon78, bzinger and 4 others Thank this. -
I drive for a carrier with a little over 300 trucks. I know of 4 drivers that are reporting symptoms coming off the road, and they have parked their trucks in isolated parts of the yard.
Also, have been told that there are quite a few drivers that have cleaned out their trucks and said they will be back after this blows over.
I can say for certain that there a lot of trucks just parked here. More than usual.
That’s just my experience of a single South Texas operation. -
I actually pulled into a few loves in the middle
Of the day and not had to wait for a pump.
Now that's a real shocker.
There's a bunch of trucks that have been
Sucked out if the system, whether they
Wanted to be or not.PE_T, D.Tibbitt and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

Alas, the power of the sanitizer blinds people to these simple truths.
An here people thought the S on Superman's chest was for Superman, when it really stand for sanitizer.
Sirscrapntruckalot - Corona sucked as a beer, it sucks as a virus to. At lest it's consistent.alds, bryan21384, bzinger and 3 others Thank this. -
I’ve noticed more parking available, I’m guessing it’s just the beginning. Everyone’s down, only increase will be Produce season. Plenty of Trucks available to cover the increase. I’m going to continue working as long as it’s available. Might get real tight real quick.

For awhile, or just kick then to the curb.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
