Ha!
I think it's pretty situational. My customers moving aggregate stuff are down, but my pipe guys and drilling supplies are getting the spring boost.

It's only going to get worse.
We still got another month to go at the minimum.
I wonder if we'll have to stand 6 feet apart in the
Soup lines.
People will die before they make it to the front
Of the line.TallJoe and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
Landstar is giving us $50 cash extra for every load delivered in April.
They are also giving the agents $50 extra for soldering on, and making that heroing trip from the bedroom to the kitchen. -
clausland and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

I always fancied to have a bunch of uncaged hens in my backyard...a #### (a hen partner - c_o_c_kerel - Jeez this censorship here! lol) waking the whole neighborhood. I even imagined a pig in my garden shed. But that village ordinance! Nothing better than living in a country in times like these...self reliant, fresh food, fresh air.

Got home yesterday early evening again.
My daughter with 3 kids appears to be making a daily pilgrimage to our house it appears. They're all probably going stir crazy at home. It's alright, I love seeing them.
Delivered a day early this morning, which was a blessing. Reloading now and will head home for the evening again.
Head out in morning for Cali, deliver and reload Friday morning, back home for the weekend, I hope.
Just takin' it one load "at a time, sweet Jesus, that's all I'm asking of you"...
At least that's how I think the old tune goes -
We had a broker give us a dedicated route the past several months, it was gold. Drop and hook their tankers, lots of easy driving miles. $6300-$9450 revenue a week. It was oilfield related and now it appears to be drying up. Back to flat bedding on the load boards for now, here is how I did the past week (edit: 9 days).
I don't have tarps
Load 1: Abilene, TX to Ritzville, WA $4200 1800 miles + 100 miles deadhead
Load 2: Colvile, WA to Grand Island, NE $2000 1400 miles + 130 miles deadhead
Load 3: Grand, Islad, NE to Umatilla, OR $3600 1350 miles
better than i typically do. sitting right now though, dont see anything I want on the boards -
Slow around here. Free fall off the cliff. Hoping we have one of those jump suits on with wings. A lot of #### pickup and delivery times.
A lot less traffic on the roads. I think people are starting to hunker down on their own. I got my guns out last night after everyone went to bed and oiled them up real good. Ammo is in order too.
Over 900 deaths in the US yesterday. Wonder what today will bring? If anyone has a lead on face masks, hit me up in the PM’s please. Made my own hand sanitizer for my guys. Seemed to go over well.
The store was pretty much empty of people today. Still no TP or towels, all cleaning related products still wiped out as well.Scooter Jones and TallJoe Thank this. -
No mail today. The neighbor has the flag up on the box and it’s quiet around here so I know she didn’t run today.
Scooter Jones Thanks this. -
There were LOTS of ppl out on I-5 mid-morning. So much for sheltering in place.
I have a friend who has his own real estate appraisal business. He told me he's slammed with business.
Not everyone is unemployed...Last edited: Apr 1, 2020
