I consider Andrew Willkow to be in the Top 5 of talk radio hosts in the country. If it wasn't for him, I would probably cancel it.
Dropped my XM subscription

Pandora for free here, I'm too cheap to go commercial free. You can pick any genre you want . I listen to a lot of comedy and progressive rock.
With new genres I have discovered a whole new taste of music to get me away from my old Genesis, pinkfloyd, Dave Mathews , classic rock Funk
Way too much good music out there these days.Studebaker Hawk, Sirscrapntruckalot and Opus Thank this. -
Not to mention Celtic Crush that comes on Sunday mornings.tommymonza Thanks this. -
My subscription was just about running out on the $5/mo special so I just checked my email....I found a renewal rate for the same price from an email on Mar 22...I clicked the link and renewed for another year...As long as I can do that I am ok with them...But if I have to call and get in an argument for an hour with someone who doesn't speak good English that would be tough...I've done that in the past and they only make my blood boil and make me livid lol

I use Amazon Music and Pandora.
Been using Pandora since they started.
They have all the stations/channels I like. Al the music genres, Pandora has a great stand up comedy section. Old an New. Fun to go from George Carlin and Richard Pryor to Kevin Hart and Fluffy.
If there isn't a station I want, I can make one. I like Pandora's best. They'll base the station off the artist you chose. So if your into Waylon an Willie, most of the songs will be "outlaw" country, an from that era.
Amazon Music..I use it when Pandora isn't fitting my needs. They have stations an all that also, but not the ability to create one off one song like Pandora. Have to make a play list an that gets annoying for me.
I've used I Heart before. Great for finding stations across the country if you want the old school radio vibe. I like to use it to listen to stations I can't get where I am now. I can listen to radio stations from Tucson, which I did til the Alice Cooper show began here locally. Good option.
Whatever you use, good for you. Music is awesome, regardless of what service you use.

Several subs were dropped for good this year.
PRices keep going up and service is crappy as ever if not worse. There is no point. If I wanted to watch crappy stuff, I can do that off Broadcast TV or internet.

I haven't had XM since 2007, when a radio show I really enjoyed got into trouble and was in danger of being thrown off the service.
I've entertained myself through different methods over the years, but my current one is pretty much perfect. I download quite a few podcasts using a podcast manager, and then for music I have Spotify. I'm perfectly happy with that combination. -
10 years ago I did "lifetime of the radio" - $300. Only cost after the intial buy in was two antennas (friggin cascadias). Pretty good investment, but when my head unit fails, thats it. Lots of better options now that data is cheap. Plus Celtic Crush is on one of those "internet only" channels.
Aamcotrans Thanks this.
