Im wanting to hear from the Prime L/O's,not the company side of the house or students going to school or shipping out to school.

    1. Does Prime pay for base plates, permits ect? If not do they take it out of your settlements at a weekly rate?

    2.Does the 6.5 mpg apply to L/O's?

3.With the 4.5 cents per mile when and how is that taken out?
4.I have heard that the L/o gets a portion of that back...any truth?
5.I was told that the l/o's are getting about 1-1.15 dollars per mile.Is that before or after the 70% ?
    6.Is the reefer freight decent?

Seems all I have been able to find is company drivers or students talking about what they have going on.I would like to hear from the Lease guys and how its working for them, any numbers would be great also.Again I would really appreciate the info guys.

Base plates, permits, etc are all part of your fixed cost for the week which also includes your truck payment, etc.. What 4.5 cpm are you referring to? The trailer rental? Fuel tax? They take out for that too as well as your tire fund, performance bond, APU rental, you name it, you pay for it. Bill's fixed cost is around 1300.00 a week and the truck payment is only 731.00 so there you go. 1.15 a mile is not a lot of money when you pay for your own fuel. This will be week 10 without a paycheck, maybe week 11, I can't remember. His last paycheck was the first week of July. Been in the hole ever since and they seem quite content to keep him there. Also they don't reimburse for reefer fuel unless when you pick up the trailer the tank is less than full then they reimburse you for that portion but that's it.

license and permits are 33.17 week
hubbys fixed cost a week is 1207.73
no the 6.5 mpg does not apply to l/o, but you are crazy if you get anything below that!!
4.5/mile is taken out on tuesdays, for every mile driven. you do get a portion back at lease completion.
husband is avg about 1.24 a mile right now. he is teaming and will con't to till atleast january. freight has been very good for him.

everything is taken out weekly. in your settlement everything!! is broken down for you to see.

My fixed cost is just a shade above $1100 for a week. The biggest part of the difference you're seeing in fixed cost between drivers here is more than likely their insurance, I'm just carrying health insurance for myself. The 4.5cpm is taken out each week, and when you complete your lease you get 3.25cpm of that back. If your truck has a running average of more than 2700 miles per week you are charged an excess mileage charge, and as long as you have a 3 year lease, you get that back fully at lease completion. I'm teaming right now and can't complain a bit about the freight or my paychecks. The only time I've not got a settlement this year was 2 weeks ago, and that's because i took 8 days off.
