Agreed! Heck, if they keep us all arguing about stupid crap and our petty differences, then they CAN do things like this! That's why I respect those of you who DO come in here and, AT LEAST, speak your minds in a decent way about issues such as this. Pathetic, this country is NOT what it used to be...and that's putting it nicely. Terrorists truly rule this world now, even if inadvertently. Good idea, Pro1Driver, let's give them a hug and be nice.
-
....So it is actually the terrorists that have all the freedom....not the citizens.
-
thats what its coming to

What does requiring you to show proof of citizenship to re-enter the country have to do with the loss of freedom and terrorists winning?
Seems like people here want a secure border but balk when it inconveniences them. You can't have it both way folks. -
It seems that terrorists know how to come and go without having to go through checkpoints.
-
I'm still not seeing how requiring somebody to prove their citizenship with a passport infringes on the constitution and makes us less free. You have no "right" to re-enter the US without declaring your citizenship.
-
Our freedom is threatened because we now live with more fear........they came here, they attacked on our soil.....this induced fear........

I do travel here and there and everywhere. You need to get the passport and hang on to it for your life. I have had friends trapped in far away places for days and sometimes months while citzenship was confirmed and this was before the restrictions. One of the worse cases was a buddy who they thought was Canadian and he just didn't have good ID comimng back from Canada. When our customs guy asked where he was born, he said Alberta. He thought the agent asked where he had been. He was stuck and nearly lost his job. He got back after two weeks of paperwork and going to the consulate. Any of you guys who like to pack iron for any reason
all I can say is no no no!

What's that got to do with the assertion that requiring US citizens to prove their citizenship with a passport in order to re-enter the USA is somehow losing our rights/making us less free.
