Central Refrigerated Truck Stop

Geeze JJ, must have missed the post about the Mistress being broken. Whats wrong with it?

Back in the motel again. Made a run to Los Lonas, NM, Friona,TX and back to Rockwall. Hopefully my I'll get my truck back tomorrow. Tripac A/C on this truck hasn't worked since they let me borrow it. The 2 days in NM were not bad. Once the sun went down, so did the temp. Opened windows and vents and slept well. Last night, not so well til about 0300 this morning. Once I got back to the yard, did my 024 (arr. at swap), followed by an 012 (breakdown), they put me right back in the motel. Cool. Gonna sleep well tonight.

Last night driving, was one of those nights that made me glad that I was alive and a "professional relocation specialist". (Hey!!! I'm not above plagerizing somebody else's good lines. lol) Was tooling along a 2 lane TX road heading east. (Why are their 2 lane roads better than many 4 lanes I've been on?) Bet I hadn't seen 30 cars in several hrs. Out of range of any radio stations (#### but I miss my Sirius radio), so mind is just a free wheeling.

All of a sudden, I notice the moon. It was just coming up over the horizon and it was so close and so low, it looked like you could just reach out and touch it. And the color!!!! A deep orange, almost like fire orange. It looked just like a halloween pumpkin, colorwise. BAM!!! Imagination kicks in cause you can see the face of the man in the moon and boy is he pissed!!! Don't know whether is cause he's not getting any or because he's just so close to us mere mortals.

I bet i watched that moon for 2 1/2 hrs last night. The higher it got, the whiter it got. His frown even turned into a smile later on. (Hmmmm, did the Goddess finally relent? Whats ya'lls vote on that?)

Stopped in a little picnic area to do my 10 and even got out of the truck for awhile, just to look at the stars and marvel at the wonders that are out there. Oh yea- - #### glad to be alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

When trainin newbies, as a trainer do ya get home time? if so what does the newbie do? just wonderin as i will be startin soon.

I think the power on the company Volvos are Cummins ISX 400hp w/ straight 10 speeds...but thats only what I've read.

Trainers are not allowed home time during the 28 days only before or after which is the same anyway you look at it. If you look at this weekend I'm sittn for 4 days here in Denver not H/T just sittn my student is spending all his time watchn movies in the tv room his time would be better spent on the truck askn questions and learning but what the heck I guess he nos it all. It's good to take a break but what you learn in 28 days is a very small part of what you will need to no when you go out on your own. So learn as you can and ask even the dumest questions cause this job is a 24/7 job not a 9 ta 5. JJ and I both train and after the first week most of my students are in ah theres more to this then what I thought yours eyes will be opened to a job that never ends it's like a clock one day rolls into the next.
