But both ways? This is a odd one. Most will self set.

Still tells me something is hitting some place. But have seen junk factory reman boxes too. Idk.

Unhook tie rod ends and see of the left goes full turn?

The throw of the kingpin steer arm or pitman arm may be wrong for the box travel. See if the tag in the center of the steer beam matches the vin build sheet on the truck. Maybe a swap.

Couldn't find any way to adjust them on line. From what I understood it would still turn just not be assisted if they were out of adjustment but there's no further movement thats not assisted.

I'll see if we can try that tomorrow.

If it goes full turn then we could be hitting the tie rod somewhere but I'm not seeing anything thats hitting.

So would he be able to call kw and they tell him center to center length of the pitman arm and if its the same as whats on his truck he's looking at possibly the wrong box. If its shorter then he needs to get a longer pitman arm? I couldn't find any tags on it other than one that had a barcode and rv3578 on it.

And are you referring to a tag in the center of the steer axle its self?

Some driver definitely matching the company name locks up a 2016 engine. In 20 mins of sitting he hasnt lifted the hood. I ask if hes got any oil in it. "Good question, i havent checked in quite a while." He cant figure out the hood latches and theres a rotted dead bird behind the headlight. Stick almost dry. Yeah i guess its been a while. Doesnt even have oil on hand so why check?

Pretty good jack knife north of ATL.

The best of the night was a car spun out between lane 2 and 3 of 6 or maybe 7 total lanes, in the tunnel underpass on 285 bypass. The Lord placed two trucks right behind her who managed to stop, then vee'd up to make a wall of protection, or this lady woulda been run over. My hats off to you gents, nameless angels, praise the lord.

The vin on my old IH referenced the build sheet having listed what axle beam it was built with. I dont remember if just the beam model or weight or serial but spicer beams have that info riveted dead center front like a license plate. Under 2" of grease fur usually.

Alright I'll see if we can't find something when day light comes.

I looked for any kind of travel stops on the box its self as we were running out of day light and didn't find anything. Was able to deduce it to being a TAS650 series box but nothing more than that.
