Currently taking a 34 here at the Petro outside of Kingman. I coulda drove to the TA in Kingman, but I still have nightmares from the last time I tried to leave their parking lot so I tend to avoid that place.
Place was empty when I got up circa 3:00am local time. Parking lot less than half full. Always makes me wonder what everybody else knows that I don't. Even with The Rona going around, most truck stops I've been to have still been full overnight.
Got a late delivery tomorrow, taking this load of HIGHLY ESSENTIAL laundry baskets to a WalMart DC in Porterville with a 6:30pm local (so 9:30pm my time) delivery appointment. And unlike here, I expect the truck stops near Porterville to be full up by the time they finish unloading me.
Apparently I was given this load because we now have some drivers refusing to go to California for fear of The Rona. More money for me, I guess.Lonesome and jarhead0311 Thank this. -
So.....at Damco just witnessed one of our drivers just hook and book. No pretrip on the trl at all. I was doing my walk around, cranking my landing gear when he hooked to it and by the time I got to the right side of my trl, he was pulling out and headed to the gate. My trl is brand new, not too much to look at (other than the fresh scrapes that were not on it when I brought it in here the other day), so it didn’t take me too long. Bless his heart. This is why we can’t have nice things.
