I do need to do one. But I do everything myself. I wonder if there are any kits you can buy and send out. also check out this video comparing oils

I used it about the same, in the last 6 mos. before a recent overhaul. I had some sludge building up on rockers. Never had it before, and I used a gallon with each oil change for years. Once in a while, usually in wintertime, I’d skip using it, due to cold weather. Haven’t used any since the Overhaul. Only changed oil twice. Am going to keep changing at 15k, and avoid additives till I start getting consumption or any front/ rear main seal leaks. Then I’ll use Lucas again. Too much isn’t good. Your oil pressure is high enough already. Sludge, that’s what my experiment came up with.

I haven’t found any sludge yet. It’s been about 40,000 miles.

You should change you oil asap and get an OA done at that time. You can go though Blackstone labs or I think Napa offers them.Don't bother using the OAs at Speedco.
After you see the condition of your oil and engine you go from there on future oil changes.
And you say you oil drips out? The DOT loves to see that. lol

The short and long of it is oil doesn’t need any additives .
Of course these people will try to sell you snake oil but when you have motors that run over 1,000,000 miles and you’ve never put anything in them but oil speaks for itself!

Premium oils have had a lot of research and development put into them. When you put additives into that you are changing the foundation. If you need an additive maybe you are using the wrong oil?
Oil and filter changes on a regular bases is a proven

Spot on. The engine's life blood is clean oil & filter. Most guys wait too long to change both. Filters, well, some are better constructed than others, but the key is to keep the oil clean....

If your oil is getting thin you probably have serious fuel dilution.. I hope your testing oil
