Anything like my wife....used to get..."isn't your dispatcher looking for you?" at 33:58 of my 34. Heh heh, now she doesn't have that option available.......

My bp goes up 25 points everytime for a dot physical. I can check it everyday for a year and it's more than acceptable. They tell me I have high BP. My Dr. says nothing is wrong.

    White coat syndrome..
I'm a nervous wreck every time that BP cuff get velcro'd on my arm.

I literally close my eyes & breath slow & think about nothing & can drop my reading 30-40 points. If I keep my eyes open I fail, like 150 over 90. Eyes closed off in la la land, I'm like 115 over 60.. o_O

Seems like most of us suffer from this whitecoat dilemma. I've found something that works, try it out for yourself though.

When you, or they, put the cuff on, keep your arm elevated to at least the same horizontal plane as your heart. You'll find that your BP measurement is then accurate. Most of us have a tendency to subconsciously keep the arm lower when being checked and this elevates it. Take your BP with your arm at three different positions, lower than, equal to, and above your heart. You'll see what I'm saying...

Yea, and mine still is high. Go to my doctors office no problem. He has 30 years of the same records. Insurance company just came to the house for physical and she was impressed with my bp. I dont have all day to type this story. But I'm not going back to the facility I used for dot physical that I have for years. She didnt know what she was doing and admitted it right too me.
