I have had the air hanger on my 2020 Freightliner Cascadia break twice. I have had the red air line break two or, perhaps, three times.
During all the times when my red air lines broke, I was doing U-turns. During all the times when my air lines hangers broke, I was doing U-turns.
Years ago when I drove year 2016 and older Freightliner Cascadias, I never had the air hanger break, and I never had the air lines break when I was doing a U-turn. Is there some sort of design flaw in 2020 Freightliner Cascadias that causes the air hangers to break and the red air lines to break during U-turns?

It sounds like the spring is not long enough. Poly lines are bad to break especially in the winter.
Switch to rubber lines.AModelCat, Crude Truckin', BUMBACLADWAR and 1 other person Thank this. -

You need to invest in a quality 3 in 1 hose and light cord assy. Rubber is the only way to go.

You can buy the 15’ coiled lines. I keep new brass ferrules. They usually break at glad hand. Easy fix. .15cents for a compression ferrule. 10 minute job. I’ve had to fix my old lines a couple times. Saving up my pennies for solid rubber lines, with re usable ends. Same principle. Cut a little off the ends, if needed and re use.

If your air connections are on the left side of the front of the trailer, turn left to do u-turns, that way the air hoses do not have to reach as far.
