have you ever tried something with parabolic springs or with progressive parabolic springs? -
One of my colleagues bought one EST-A 460 6x4 last month (The one in my profile) and he is quite pleased with the truck; it was cheaper than anything else with that characteristics (All American Trucks costs about 26.000 USD more for a basic daycab config), and has better pulling and comfort that the Chevrolet Super Brigadier N14 he used to drive (That truck is the same Autocar White/Volvo ACL64 from the 90's).
Now, the Mercedes seems to be a good offer over the FL or any other truck in the market. They are selling stock Actros 2648 LS Classic Space (2.3 m wide and low roof with engine tunnel) for about 10.000 USD less than the Freightliner Cascadia, with the huge difference of the Actros having a bunk, while the FL is Daycab.
But anyway, most people here is very traditional in their chooses, so they prefer to stick with the common American makes (Mostly Kw and International). -

-scania
-mb
-volvo
-man
-daf

what is preference among drivers? manual or amt? -
They are used for transporting almost everything. Asfalt, construction equipment, waste containers, gravel, general cargo thats normally transported on flatbed trucks.
Lots of contractors have hook loader trucks as they can use them for transporting their own equipment and also move material like a dump truck.
No cable lift in Sweden as no one wants to drive them.98989 Thanks this. -
For the prices, they are like this:
-Kenworth
-Freightliner
-International
-Scania
-DAF
-Mercedes
-Hino
-Iveco
-VW Truck
-Chevrolet (Izusu)
-Foton
-Misc. Chinese Brands.
*Volvo and Renault trucks have a very bad dealer, and therefore are almost non-existent here, and MAN is not sold here, but her "sister" VW truck and bus.medioker, daf105paccar and 98989 Thank this. -
here roll off are still being used mostly in recycling industry. here with 40t we cant afford extra dead weight for asphalt truck etc. so not every truck can be roll-off.
also among tipper trucks 3way is almost must have. my father works for 5years in same company as contractor because it is 3way and all their 4axle trucks are rear tippers.
what kind of job do they make with rolloff instead of previously used tipper+crane?
like delievery of small excavators? -
The preference here are the manual Eatons, either 15 or 18 speed, and Cummins engines.daf105paccar and Cat sdp Thank this.
