I have a problem with a blend door Defrost/Dash vents, it stays on vents. I tested the voltage at the actuator plug and eliminated the controls. removed the actuator and tested it with a 9v battery as shown on Utube and it was bad. Replaced the actuator only to find that the blend door shaft was stripped out. I have tried wrapping teflon tape around the shaft, but the female side is to stripped out. Can this be glued and then calibrated? I have seen several posts about how to calibrated the doors, but none specifically for the Kenworth. Is this something I can do or will it have to be taken to a shop and calibrated thru the ECM? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are 5 behind the dash of your truck.
If you’re positive it’s the defrost actuator you’re looking for, it’s the one most top left of all 5.

That would be located about center of your dash, behind your dash panels. Take them out. The other 4 progressively move toward the right from there all the way to in front of the passenger seat.
If you’re going to replace it make sure to turn your truck off and wait for about 30 seconds and you’ll hear your actuators moving back there for a couple seconds and they’ll stop.
It’s just two star bit golden screws to remove.
If it needs to be calibrated you can go by a dealership... will take less than five minuets to do that.
