I know that you mean me as the propangandist and fearmonger and i dont blame you. but i want to clarify im not afraid or trying to scare anyone.

When you study your enemy and yourself, you can predict their moves and strengthen your position in advance. I have no mortgage or car payments. I have 5 paid off acres in a sea of hills and hollars, annual tax below $300. timber, a garden, chest freezer, reliable network of neighbor friends. I can stay home 3 months and survive like all the other billies. I actually homesteaded for 2 years with almost no income.. Very poor but a good test exercise. So im calm about the future because of being prepared for the worst whether it comes or not. Independant. But i had to start years ago when money grew on trees and i was "crazy."

I hope folks can think of me as someone telling them, this progression isnt random and isnt gonna stop so make some life changes to be prepared for bad times. Im not telling you theres gonna be an EMP strike and little green men in the streets. There arent. Its just gonna be politics and inflation and taxes. Thats it. Division and debt.

im with you about dedicated carriers not feeling much pain. the speculators and free agents who didnt REALIZE they were on a high tide in 2018 and never secured anything stable for a low tide are the ones that must be washed out. There MUST be corrections to sort the wheat from the chaff and get back to normal.

This is a perfect example for me to illustrate something. Another fellow points out a problem he is facing. People from the 3rd world are agressively trashing the rates in his market. If it continues his company wont be able to compete against them. They are coming from 3rd world countries.

Where do the terms 1st world 2nd world 3rd world come from? World war 2. The allies were the first world. The soviets were the second and the nonaligned nations were the 3rd. Nazi germany was the common enemy of both the 1st and 2nd world, thats why germany had two fronts, one from the west and one from the east. As soon as berlin fell, lend lease and partnership ended. usa and russia went right back to being bristling opponents. Moscow rightly switched its efforts to blocking any alliances between USA/allies and any non aligned 3rd world nations, and getting them under their veiled control. Commie uprisings in malaya, indochina, phillipines, southeast asia, algeria, mozambique angola south africa cuba honduras puerto rico el salvador guetemala honduras on and on and on.

They won the 3rd world. Is moscow sending troops? No. Theyre coordinating cheap labor. You can strike back at an army invasion. Not so easy to counterstrike poor people who just want to live better. Machiavelli wrote over 500 years ago, dont send an army, send a colony of old women and children. Very simple information. And THAT is why history isnt taught.

Why do we need a wall around mexico when the one we tore down around moscow kept everyone out just fine?

I took a 3 minute glance. I would be wary. Business insider gets, or was getting its data from worldmeters.info. somewhere on this forum i illustrated recently that worldmeters is the top google hit for corona stats globally. The cite popped up not all that long ago, is COMPLETELY anonymous other than it is owned by "dadax" but there are like 8 dadax companies in usa and one in china. The bottom line is NO ONE knows who the people at dadax are but they are telling the world whats up in every category. This is what propaganda looks like. Anonymous, single source, huge distribution and not easily verified. Top down info.

So now business insider switches to covid tracking.com. Look on their front page at the list of sources that cite them. All mainstream. All highly trusted. i have seen every single one of them reproducing disinformation in the last 7 years.

Do what you want, but be slow to trust what you cannot verify personally.

I wasn’t referring to you, just the general “rates are nothing, stay home and save yourself” talk. I just parked my truck yesterday and it will sit until the end of May but that has nothing to do with COVID or rates. I have a friend who is coming on where I’m at but Mac is behind on trailers. I have a bunch of stuff that needs attention in my personal life.

Hormel of Rochelle Illinois is closed of today, all 800 sent home. Due to outbreak of covid among them. No more spam or shipping trucks for a minimum of two weeks. Building is being cleaned as if they didnt clean before. It will be now.

Dont stop at the 3 rest areas in western NY on 81 up the hill. Theres some crooked troopers in middletown barracks with a racket to put you out of service at regional towing for huge storage money. They took my trailer for a month, accused me of it being stolen and tried to auction it. Cost me $3k. It was all lies from the first minute she pounded on the cab while i was in the rest area. That trooper retired but the cmv sgt and capt are still there and in on it. I prefer binghamton to albany to mass pike when its feasible.

If you do any loads to spfld watch out for DOT up in the doubles switching yard off 90 exit 6 at 291, and also at the MA CT line on 91. Theyre quota jockies. They tuck up on that last southbound ramp in mass where 20 feeds into 91S.

Its a bit longer but i prefer to sneak across 57 and come from southwick to winsted to torrington on 8 and skip hartford waterbury. Nice country drive, all good roads for big truck.

It's your opinion that they shouldn't be working. I picked up at a lumber place in Louisiana, all good ol boys and brothers. No one gave a flying #### who cared if the business was essential or not. Those folks are going to work regardless. They had a sign up saying it's business as usual for them during the outbreak. You ain't gonna kill these type of folks with some sissy virus, that's for sure. There are pockets here and there where it's still America...

The reality is, with all the rest areas locked down, all the businesses that refuse us entrance, the inability to get a hot meal, or a sanitary place to go the rest room, we should be shut down. OOIDA, ATA, Teamsters should be joining together and calling for a national shutdown and force a change, because until it happens, no one gives a ####.

NBC news had a brief piece two weeks ago with a driver, I've seen the unedited video, they cut so much out. The other videos that drivers have been putting up about how bad things are for us, no one cares, unless they have a direct family member in the industry, they don't give a ####. The media, yea, good luck with that, couple days ago, someone tweeted to the Denver media a video of a driver leaning against the side of a locked rest area building, and taking a dump, not a single media group in Colorado responded to him, the politicians, yeah, they don't give a #### either.

Every day I see news stories of companies donating to cops, fire fighters, ems, etc., when was the last time someone donated to a trucking company to help us drivers? Local micro-distillery donated several cases of hand sanitizer to the Sheriff's dept., I sent them an email with the names of 10 small trucking companies and asked them to make a donation to them, the lady sent me back a price list, when I email and asked her if she sent the Sheriff's office a price list, she didn't answer.

Lately, when a business tells me I can't come in, or I can't use their rest room, I wish them well, and explain to them that I will be relieving myself on the side of their building. If they don't like it, too bad.
