What would you do in this situation if it happened to you?

My safety guy told me a story about him almost backing over a guy at a truckstop.

He pulled in about 5 am into the truckstop with his tanker on a dark rainy night and found a spot that some one had just pulled out of .

Proceeded to back in the hole and kinda caught a glimpse of something at the back of the hole so he jumped out to look .

It was a homeless guy who had been sleeping under the van that had just pulled out who had now rolled down into the curb.

Ok. So I was sitting in the truck stop bathroom and broke the toilet. It wouldn’t flush. No crime had been committed but some would say a toxic spill had occurred. If I don’t call the duty officer can I be charged with a felony and will they suspend my Cdl.

Keep rolling on. Its the hobos fault for walking out on a pitch black road. That run over foot will teach him a lesson.

 

What if that hobo looking person is a mega fleet driver who just crawled out of his wreck down in the ditch? Just sayin' that just because they look like trash, they might actually be employed, or a contributing member of society, somewhat.

 

Why does it matter if he is a hobo?
He was on side of road...you took turn too fast. Your fault. Vests aren't required by law, but you'd still have him regardless as you left your lane.

We get a lot of foreign laborers riding bicycles Around at night without lights here in SW Florida which the cops will ticket them.

Coming home from the pizza place that is a mile from old dads after taking him out for Pizza and beers.

Car made a left in front of me and blinded me while I made a right . Meanwhile the Gautamalean coming down the sidewalk on his unlit bike from my rear and proceeded to cross as I was turning.

Thankfully I was going super slow and stopped because I came with in a kitty hair of running him down.
