    And what about the points?

I'd pay 1000 bucks to keep a point and half off my record. Your not going to get a legal plan attorney worth that much.

That advice makes a lot of sense. I suppose, wherever it happens, I could always get on the phone and find a lawyer willing to appear on my behalf.

Also, since I did use TVC for a few months, I still have their stickers and stuff. If cops are really intimidated by them (which is probably a bit of an embellishment), then I could always show them the sticker, but not directly say I use that service.

I'm kind of worried since I'm going to flatbed now, about what happens as I roll through scales. Seems like there's a bazillion ways for a load's securement to be off. Or maybe that's just my head exploding from all the training videos.

IMHO--every one of these deals is a scam--and truth is--if you act right you wont need one--Im sure there will be more than one come back and tell me about the ticket(s)they got they didn't deserve--BUT--you will never convince this old coot about that--cops--dot--etc--have no real need to create work--there is too much going on right in front of them to pick from--are there places that are tougher than others--yes--are there depts that do nothing but spend the day--generating revenue--of course--BUT--mind your P's&Q's--keep yourself and your equipment right--and you have nothing to worry about--the amount of drivers out there that have never been cited for anything is alot HIGHER than you may believe....
Remember--you are out here to MAKE money--NOT spend it--just do your job and act right it ain't that hard--won't say HOW long it has been since I received a driving award(bad luck--LOL)but I will say--I NEVER received one I didn't deserve! And once upon a time a long time ago--I received PLENTY!
So keep your $$$$$$ in YOUR pocket--for both legal plans and citations......
    Just my $.02

    Hey driver's!!!
I am just old school mostly..
I get into a ticket, I look for a lawyer in that location I received the ticket (s)!!!
Makes more common sense (which is not common among people today believing all the Psy-ops going on from our devil Govt Corp...
    LOL HA HA HA
Anyway, Keep your money, save your money guy's!!!
It's cheaper to find a lawyer on the fly than to pay each month for that stuff!!
I'm 2nd generation trucker, raised military and done all sorts of things in my long life...
Con men have not changed in 300 year's, nor 2,000 year's...
97% of what's going on today is a CON GAME AND/ OR GAMBLING!!!
THEY HAVE CHANGED THE WAY THEY SAY IT TO YOU, BUT IT'S STILL BULLSH-T HOWEVER THEY SAY IT!!!
I GOT CUT OFF ON THE GW BRIDGE IN NYC/ FORT LEE, THEY GAVE ME 7 TICKETS AND I PAID $550 & ALL DROPPED, JUST BEAT A LEFT LANE TICKET ON THE OH TRNPKE (THEY'RE TARGETING TRUCKERS AGAIN IN OH!!) Anyway, I $500 for that as well..
(Both of those examples are with paying the court fees, etc and the local lawyer, So get my drift???
*I*n* that is $1,000 for two tickets and inside of f(within)5 to 6 year's time, So in months that would be 60 to 72 months÷$1,000= $16.60 each month for 60 most and $13.80each month for 72 mos!!!
Before I got back on the road I got hit by a young girl speeding with no lights on and with a tablet LITTERALLY in front of her face!!!
I got 30k and it's not even over yet..
IT PAYS TO HAVE DASH CAM'S, I HAVE FOUR(4) OF THEM COVERING EVERYTHING, BUT THE BACK DOORS!!!
IN COURT TODAY YOU CAN HAVE ALL SORTS OF STUFF, BUT REALLY ALL YOU NEED IS A CHEAP LAWYER WITH COMMON SENSE AND A LITTLE GAME/ KNOWS WHAT'S GOING ON IN HIS TOWN AND DASH CAM'S, YOU'LL WIN EVERY TIME AS LONG AS YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT, IT KEEPS POLICY PROTECTOR'S (POLICE) IN LINE AND THE JUDGE'S IN LINE, CAUSE WHAT'S GOING ON TODAY ARE SHAMS/ SCAMS ON "WE THE PEOPLE"!!!
THERE'S MORE GOING ON THAN MOST PEOPLE COMPREHEND CAUSE MANY PEOPLE ARE DUMBED DOWN SLAVES/ SHEEPLE, MEANING EASILY SWAYED AND YOU PAY THEM TO DO ALL THEIR DEVILISHNESS TO YOU WHILE THEY MOCK YOU AND I EVERYDAY!!!!✌✌

I carry USCCA and civil Liability, but if needed a lawyer there are a dozen you can shake a stick at. However I don't mind paying fair and square tickets with cold cash and be on my way. Those usually generate a story.

My last one involved unregistured vehicle for almost 9 months. The state bear was helpful (We were in cancer fight that year, everything else was not even worried about as usual) and he fined me 200 dollars and went to lunch. 5 minutes after that I had paid it at the local lawman, 5 minutes after that had new tags and registration etc.

The Trooper saw the payment made and new tags etc all legal and it never impacted my CDL Driving record then which would have been a big problem back in 2007.
