    There aren't any hook points under that trailer for a chain. I think I'll keep the x chains in front but wrap around the pocket as Ruthless described, and strap the rest. Thanks everyone

    Yeah well it is some special kind of gravel. Not sure whats its used for but they even had it covered at the shipper

    Put a second X chain on the back. It will also locate the back of your plate from sliding sideways.

    Will someone please show a sticker or literature from a trailer manufacturer what the WLL of a trailer frame is when using it for securement purposes.

    I hauled a load of gravel like that once. At the receiver they even put a probe in each bag and read the moisture content. :dontknow:

    I could give you the smart$$$ answer and post beam ratings. But I get where you are going with this, and while we have had it confirmed in the past that it was possible to do it without causing harm to the frame. I will actually dig this information up. Because having CYA material is always helpful.

    The shingles one always bothered me. I mean the #### was designed and made to withstand the elements lol

    I have always been told it’s more to keep the wrapper on the bundle than for protection of the shingles.
