I'm wrong. 1887 Mixed thoughts. That line is 2 track and live. The abandoned one is south a couple miles at 67, and 224. Still Republic. You can google that train wreck.
Stories still true. But its live. We ran bikes, quads and jeep out the abandoned line as a child. Or jeeps to New London and get toasty at Pete's bar and grill.

Do you remember the one, in Monroeville, Ohio? Still comes a ghost train through... so they say. . There were definitely a few....I'll have to educate myself on them also. Man, didn't know you lived so close. We have some 'interesting' history here in Ohio, for sure.jamespmack Thanks this. -
Never heard about Monroeville. Used to buy alot of parts at Midway, and miss Vansons restaurant. But east towards downtown is Pean's Pizza. Well worth the walk from the crappy 7/11.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
