A worthy place to call home?

I remember one fly by night outfit, 226th man on hire day. Bottom man on totem pole.

6 months later we were 235 or so and I was in the low 30's, the top 20 above me will have to die before any of us got it.

Company folded and burned out 4 months after I left that year. Easy come easy gone.

 

Why not stay put? Especially now. Communicate with current Employer. Work together towards better solo pay. Got to speak up, look them in the eye. Be reasonable. Good relations go further than pay, sometimes. I can’t believe I just said that. I’ll claim Retrospective Wisdom on that one.

 

This one request could raise both eyebrows & suspicions.

Why does it bother you so much that someone has a stance on freedom? I'm bald and I am not getting my armpits, arms etc shaven off just to satisfy some Orwellian hiring requirement.

Sad to see that Americans have forgotten about having a spine.

 

Why should we have to put up with that? Why isn't urine (which is outrageous enough) not enough?

 

Because people lie about drug use, and weed can't be detected in your urine for very long, but can be detected in your hair for months after using it. If everybody told the truth, we wouldn't need drug tests at all, but that's not reality.

Many companies, many industries are currently testing for drugs. People who use drugs often have a tendency to cause a lot of damage, due to not having a clear head to think with, or physical capabilities & reflexes to react to an emergency.
