#### why didja settle for 40cpm? I had a year exp. and was offered 53cpm at one or two places...
Iono, cpm kinda irks me. I'd rather be paid more to drive less & do all the unloading. Fork truck, pallet jack, w/e idc. I'm cool w/ 200, heck even 300 miles a day is fine... but naymore gets to be a bear and I'd rather be hopping around loading and unloading. any ideas on a place like that? I live up near boston... but I imagine there are OTR positions like that, multi-stop otr exists, right?

Multistop OTR definitely exists, but I am not sure how common it is, or if any companies specialize in it.
The LTL carriers might, but I think they are mostly local or regional?
Any experienced LTL folks out there want to weigh in on this? -
They had bonus pay on top of that (I think they did away with all that crap and went to a higher straight cpm. after I left). Plus they also said I would get thru the house more often, which didn't happen either. I was there 3 years ago, and driver pay wasn't where it is now. Ieft Magnum with their retarded variable pay rate(it was reevaluated and changed every 4 months based on performance, fuel mpg, etc.) where I started in the low 40's per mile, went up to ,46 then after 18 months, when it slowly dropped to .42, going to a .40 wasn't that big of a drop if they could have increased my average weekly miles and get me home more...which turned out to be b.s. advertising because neither happened.Lonesome and Dale thompson Thank this.

I spoke to one of my fellow Wy-Moore drivers who said that the Wylie truck that was shot up in Tulsa was supposedly a personal thing.(the pic @JohnBoy posted earlier) By what he was told, it was someone messing with someone elses wife.
And he also said, the former Moore exec that has started/joined another company isn't really a threat to Maverick or Wylie for the most part. So far he only has dry vans to haul glass. Plus, he screwed Moore into the ground in a year and a half...that gives him plenty of time to screw this company into the ground. And the planner that was his buddy (and couldn't plan his way to the toilet without making a mess) went to work for him.Farmerbob1, drvrtech77 and Lonesome Thank this. -
With all those bullet holes, It looks as though that dude was protecting some good tail.runningman0661, drvrtech77, Northeasterner and 2 others Thank this.

Yeah but, it takes 2 to tango. She's as much to blame as he is(unless this was a female Wylie driver).

2 to tango, but one to pursue...mushroom1464, drvrtech77, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

Experienced my 1st one way isled Walmart over the weekend in Manchester TN, not that it mattered, most of the people weren't paying any attention to the signs. It wasn't as bad to get around as the news story's store I talked about earlier. No barracades making it an endless 'bank line' style cue.
I got to stop by the house for 20 hrs on the way to central FL. I thought they were just gonna send me home from there a week early, but they didn't. I get to go to the Sanford, NC Wylie yard for some sort of dashcam upgrade. I hope it isn't one with a driver facing camera or else I will be starting a new association...'naked drivers of America'.
A couple hours after I was told to head to Sanford, my current camera got turned on without any type of 'critical event'. Stopped at the SC Welcome Center, went in and did my business, then came out and refilled my washer fluid because it's already love-bug season in GA. The camera's '!' wasn't on when I unlocked my door and grabbed my gloves, but it was on when I hopped in to leave after filling it up. And it is still on this a.m. if they turned it on to listen in...they got an ear full of my rants, then 2.5 hours of heavy metal cranked all the way up as high as the radio and my phone would go, I just put my headset with earbuds on without turning it on just to muffle the sound. Hope they liked it!!!!!

Boy I am so glad I had to come up here to Sanford...to sit and wait. Got here before 8, the shop guy who does these dashcam upgrades comes in at 9. I was the only one that needed the upgrade and there was one driver that came in after me that needed the things they screwed up in Mascot fixed when they were updating his dashcam...they took him first, and now it's 13:00 and I am still waiting for them to come get me to install mine. They are updating the main camera control unit to a 4g device, same camera.
*Update*
This is how things typically work at E.W. Wylie. They have an email on the system here that tells them my truck is coming in for a camera system upgrade. I check in with the shop this a.m.(via telephone because the beer flu restricts us from actually talking to someone in person), and was told that they would come get me when they were ready. It wasn't until I started showing my ### after 6.5 hrs and 2 trucks were put ahead of me, and then the shop has been empty for hours, that a parts changer came out and asked what I was there for. (Wylie doesn't employ mechanics, only the typical parts changers that most bottom feeder companies employ). It turns out that management didn't bother to inform the people that actually do the work that I was there. Typical Wylie!!!!!! I reserve using the word 'hate' for very extreme circumstances. But I can honestly say, I HATE this place and the overall way these people run things hereLast edited: Apr 28, 2020
