The PPP loan application is SBA Form 2483 (4/20)

You can download and read the instructions & qualifications for said loan & forgiveness guidelines. It's right on the SBA website here:

Paycheck Protection Program Borrower Application Form

It's only 3-1/2 pages and very easy to read, understand & fill out...

I've copied & pasted the following paragraphs from the application:

"The Applicant will provide to the Lender documentation verifying the number of full-time equivalent employees on the Applicant’s payroll as well as the dollar amounts of payroll costs, covered mortgage interest payments, covered rent payments, and covered utilities for the eight-week period following this loan.

For purposes of calculating “Average Monthly Payroll,” most Applicants will use the average monthly payroll for 2019, excluding costs over $100,000 on an annualized basis for each employee. For seasonal businesses, the Applicant may elect to instead use average monthly payroll for the time period between February 15, 2019 and June 30, 2019"

BoA sent my application to the SBA and the SBA is who refused to give me the full amount. The SBA ignored my payroll, took my profit amount listed on my tax filings and then divided that by 12. I had next to no profits last year due to being shut down most of the year as I transitioned from driving semi's as a lease op to setting up my own MC as a hotshot. I could have very easily shown a loss.. I paid myself from my business savings not from income coming in..

They completely ignored my pay to myself, because I was a single member LLC and instead just used the $4k profit I showed as my pay for a year. It's absolutely ludicrous... I'm not happy with the zero communication from BoA either but they accepted my application , it was SBA who screwed me on it..

Note that there is NOTHING in the application guidelines & qualifications that allow for someone to use 2018 numbers. How @Midwest Trucker brother in law got a bank to push that through without verification is something I hope he doesn't regret in the long run.

The numbers he used were his real numbers but still. Just shows obviously early on they were accepting about anything and pushing it through no questions asked. I think they made quite a few changes for the 2nd round when it comes to enforcement.

That’s the problem with not showing income. Any loan is going to get rejected. I think as long as it’s repaid, like any loan. No problems. I did a P&L 6 yrs ago in February, for a mortgage that reflected almost double my previous annual income per month, along with a letter explaining major repairs etc. It flew through, ended up making no where near the P&L projections. Lol. It met underwriting, that’s all they care about. Any problems after that, are after the fact. It’s all a game. The whole system.

Not with my local community SBA approved bank. They were very thorough and made sure to cross every "T" & dot every "I" they could. As you know, I was in the first round.

If you file a Schedule C there isn't a line item deduction for salary paid to yourself. The bottom line is line 31 of the return. That IS the NET PROFIT of your business. That's the number the SBA is using for self-employment "wages" when obtaining the annual(12 month) average for 2019.

Exactly, 2018 mine was 34k, 2019 will probably be less. No depreciation, means I can’t qualify for jack. With the exception of vehicles, which aren’t subject to finance reform. I once qualified for a Mortgage, before I sold my house. Used to get stated income loans for 1/4% higher rate. Rules have changed, I had a heck of a time getting a 114k mortgage. 6 or 7? yrs ago. Prices were suddenly on the rise. Almost got priced out of the market. Next yrs schedule c income by the looks of it, will also be very low. Already put 20k into Truck, vs. 6k last yr. That’s why cash is King, especially if credit tightens.Went through the ringer in 2009. Not happening again.
