Is your work conditions that perilous or are your drivers that bad?Pete_379X Thanks this. -
More of a case of too much stuff, not enough room. I went from a 60' by 100' shop to a 28' by 40' garage a few years ago when i sold all but one of my trucks and trailers. -
Rob,
I enjoyed meeting you and if you need anything else call me. I'm impressed by your willingness to learn and admit your mistakes in a public forum such as this. Be safe and have fun with your "adventures".PharmPhail, ampm wayne and Eskimo6804 Thank this. -
I think I know that place! It's right on the other side of the highway from the Pilot, right? Picked up the same thick liner over a year ago and ran it into Northern Cal. The guy on the cart has absolutely NO concept of TIME, especially when it's someone elses time in question. Wanted to talk to me about the Marine Corps the entire time I was strapping down and kept on trying to talk while I was trying to pull away. HAHAHA!!
Thing is, he gave me a wrong/incomplete BOL along with the right one. The office lady called me when I was on the way down the street and told me to trash the wrong one. Nice enough folks in the office. Next time, just try going in. She sounded cute too.

Hey guys, Wanted to know what you think about this truck i found. I can imagine what kind of "advice" i'm gonna get, but still want to know what you all think. I've found a local truck(about 3 hours away) with the following specs. 1995 Freightliner FLD w/435 cat. 911,274 miles. the guys is asking $6000.00. I'm sure i will need to do a overhaul on the engine soon, no signs of oil leaks or blow-by. but i want now the exact shape until i get it on the road. tires look to be in good shape.I'm thinking if he's asking $6k then i can get it a little cheaper and put some sweat equity into it. I would have no problem with doing the work myself. ok, bring on the "advice"... lol

If you can deal with it then why not? It's all about what you are willing to drive and put up with, if you have a reasonable amount of money set aside for repairs then go for it, otherwise it might be dangerous.
