My new insurance quote

I'm gonna be up for renewal in June looking for a better deal got 1 yr in now clean move . any suggestions on company

 

Progressive Quote was 33k for a year and wanted 10k down the rest mouthy pymnts

 

Back story - Canadian with zero US driving history.

My first quote from progressive was $42,000 for 1 truck and 1 trailer.

I called a broker out of Wyoming who got it down to $16,000 full coverage, 1 million liability for 2 trucks and 2 trailers. ( still with progressive )

 

I’m guessing all of this must have the variable of where you are located. I’m 3rd year authority, Progressive, 20k truck, 1,000,000 coverage, Colorado. I’m under $10k a year from the beginning. Good credit and perfect driving record.

 

Colorado, might also play a big factor too. When I last asked why have my rates have not gone down after two years active authority, no claims, no moving violations, paid for equipment and etc... the response I got was “it’s because of my garage/terminal location in Louisiana”. she said Louisiana has a higher than average insurance claim rate, and also insurance fraud. She said if I moved my company’s address to Mississippi or Arkansas my rate would likely go down 10-30%

Looking for options in RI. I know about ooida and insurance they provide could be problematic. I have Lancer now gonna renew 6/20 any ideas. Last renewal was 14k
