Economic crash worse than in 2008?

Making the “cure” be worse the the “problem” is what your saying if I read that correctly.

 

We are 20 yrs into a long term bear cycle that very few even know about. No amount of stimulus can change it. If its 5, 10, 15 more years then thats what it is, i dont care because i dont participate.

My wife went back to work and I hardly ever need to leave home anymore for anything. We are very non consumerist and can make it on $25k a year no problem. the Lord has been very kind in meeting our needs.

 

I think us "old timers" can say, " we told you this would happen", living high on the hog , FOR YEARS, with little or no regard for the future. 8 year car loans,,come on. My late mom, who died 8 years ago, predicted all of this. She was a nurse for like 50 years, and said, an illness will come along we have no medicine for, and credit will devastate this country. The problem with homes, is 1st, there's a freakin' glut of homes, yet these spoiled brats insist on having "their own". 2nd, I read, a new home in Colorado costs a MINIMUM of $750,000 to build ( including lot)Home ownership in Colorado BEFORE this foolishness, was at an all time low. 64% (2/3rds) of all people here rent. And you say, sure, that $1200/mo payment ( or a little more) could pay a mortgage payment, but nobody has the down stroke to buy one. They're still grappling with that $4,000 minivan transmission. Home building creates a LOT of trickle down jobs, and affects a big part of the economy. We're clearly on the highway to hell, and at 65, I won't see the outcome of all this, but rest assured, kids, it ain't gonna be pretty. And if another "one" hits soon? My God have mercy on our souls,,it will be BIG(ger)

 

( Some)people are such idiots. The other day, at Walmart, some woman ,who clearly got their "virus" money, was barely pushing 2 shopping carts, loaded plum full. The 1st cart had all grocery items, and the 2nd cart had at least 10 bags of dog food and 8 packs of soda lined around both carts. Can't blame them when their way of life is in peril.

You know, I'm not the most religious person, my neighbor is one of those "the good Lord this" and "JC that" types, oh please. Crisis brings out the religion in many, I don't buy it, all a crock to me( until my death bed, of course)
