Why are you on SSI at 27 years old? If you have some physical disability that got you there pretty much any farming job could prove difficult.
What kind of driving work can someone on ssi do?

BUT that said, the first question is this - why are you on it?
This is asked because WE can NOT answer your question without knowing what your physical and/or mental limitations are.
IT is that simple.
So please if you want some advice, sincere advice, let's start with this - why are you on SSI?Sirscrapntruckalot, nredfor88, Wasted Thyme and 1 other person Thank this. -

He's been talking about cash work from day one and using a uhaul box truck. While I don't presume to judge. His threads make his actions suspect.
Deere hunter Thanks this. -
FYI- SSI is a different program than SSID. which is Social Security Disability.
SSID is for people for medical reasons can not work. To collect SSID you must have enough qualifying time paid into Social Security. It is paid for out of Social Security.
SSI-Supplemental Security Income is a program that is strictly need-based, according to income and assets, and is funded by general fund taxes (not from the Social Security trust fund). SSI is called a "means-tested program," meaning it has nothing to do with work history, but strictly with financial need.
I have personally known people on the program. One is a lady the became disabled and had not paid enough into Social Security to qualify for SSID. I know she needs the help and would rather be working.
SSI., On the other hand is this worthless pos that has a major drinking/drugging issue and some Doctor helped him get on as having this drunk-druggie disease. There is also a guy that had some kind of learning disability growing up and supposedly can't hold a regular job. But he is and excellent mechanic and does under the table work everyday.
I'm sure there is a lot of abuse on both of these programs.Sirscrapntruckalot and nredfor88 Thank this. -
Yeah my fiance is on SSI. Cuz she bartended and didn't claim tips. So her income level was too low for the SSID bene to be enough to live.

It’s almost as if people know that we, as a country, are past the point of no return vis-a-vis sound monetary policy, and they are out to get what they can before all the bad parts of the Bible happen.
Hey! I actually used “vis-a-vis” in a sentence!tscottme, Sirscrapntruckalot, Kyle G. and 3 others Thank this. -
