Banamation that program has been in place for along time. Call your local state patrol and you,ll get the correct info. My last co. told us in a upper management meeting that a log book violation goes on your permiant mvr and does not come off, effecting your personal vehicle insurance also. They had legal looking documents and power point, newsletters, and another quarterly meeting that covered it all again. They had drivers quiting because of it and none of it was true haha. I called the state patrol and there is no such law. Your co. probobly had to many drivers out of service and there talking about a new law,but the law has been in place for years. When you hit the coop the bears run your co. stat rating info, but can pull you around and check your mvr history and if you where put out of service for falseifing logs 2 years ago they can see that. 10-4

It's just another way to explain their job objectives that don't mean much. They should be doing more but not with the smaller companies but with the big ones that do not care if the truck gets damaged because they'll just replace the driver. Sure there's smaller companies that run on a shoestring but there are also alot of smaller companies that can't afford to be put OOS and do the best they can. There's more than them than the bad ones and they sure will not hire a driver with a bad record. I personally hold the schools responsible for letting a driver go through school with bad paper. They should pull the MVR and check themselves but that would mean less money for them. DOT needs to go after them also.

You've got to go out everyday with the idea that you'll going to do better than the day before. If you worry about inspections then you need to stop and fix the problem. I'm telling you it's much nicer having everything in line the best you can so you don't have to worry. Then you can relax and be a better driver and concentrate on what needs to be done. After all who cares what DOT or the FMCSA does unless they take your job. And if they take your job maybe you're in the wrong line of work.
