I went to the boat show a couple years ago in Grand Rapids Michigan , which is pitiful at best in my world 18 foot skiboats and pontoon boats Starting at a $100 thousand . Many more 150 and up. . But you can just recently finance them 30 years. Absolute Utter Lunacy. Cheap Easy Credit is the downfall of our country and government. It has encouraged endless stupid spending Most people lose interest in boats and rvs the first 5 years , and after that they can't afford to sell them because their buried in them . after 10 years of them sitting their junk, and most rvs were junk to begin with . Unbelievably huge and extravagant houses being built everywhere that are financed to the Hilt , by People "but I am making 20% in the stock market". Lost my only child 10 years ago and I miss him everyday , but now days I am relieved he won't have to grow up without a World we used to know. . My 89 year old father passed away last year . Every week my father used to tell me. "Kid we lost another one of ours Rights this week , so enjoy the Country you have now, because I don't have much confidence it's going to get better". Not going to make this a Political thread but our government is one Misstep from destruction these days.
The two worst questions that anyone can ever ask are "How much are the payments" and "can you get me approved".
Hopefully you negotiate price before you ask about payments. And I also hope you don't finance luxury items like boats, etc.
I agree with you completely the only argument I would make is about an RV. If you buy one that’s 2 to 3 years old you can get it for about half the sticker price. A lot of truck drivers, because they only have 2 to 3 days off a month, keep an RV and they stay in it during their time off. That’s currently what I do. The place I stay at charges me $25 a day with full hook ups including cable TV and Internet and they have storage right there. So when I come back into town I just pull it out and hook it up and it cost me $75 for three days off. I don’tWant to buy a big expensive home, for what? To stay there three days a month? Plus with the RV if I want to go to the beach or the mountains if I have a couple extra days off, it’s two hours either direction.
Actually if you have the right setup, you can call that RV a residence and take it off your taxes. I think it's something to the effect of having a stove, shower, commode and sleeping quarters. I know a lot of guys when racing were buying diesel pushers and getting 30 year mortgages on them.
I bought some stuff in a green paint can (gallon) that had a white, rubberized sealant that you applied with a brush. My roof never had a problem. It was very good. I believe it came from Camping World.
