I have a 2009 Volvo 780 with a D13 engine with over a million miles on it and it does not use a drop of oil . I am having trouble with the rocker arm assembly ! The problem is that Volvo had a recall on the rollers because they used too soft of a metal in the rollers and they keep breaking and rearing out ! The mechanic told me that Volvo had a problem with this in the D13 engines ! If you buy a 2009 D13 Volvo you may end up with this same problem ! I would do some research to see if they have been replaced with upgraded material ! They D12s don't seem to have this problem ! I had a 2007 D12 Volvo and it had way over 1000,000,000 ( million ) miles on it and it did not use a drop of oil ! Volvo engines are good engines , just do a little research and know what you are getting !!
