Either a lot of trucks have gone under or a lot of guys are still riding the couch. Let’s hope they don’t log onto TTR and decide to get off it.

It’s still horrible in the Midwest. LOL not even kidding.

About 2 months ago I implemented a new policy for when I broker loads. The driver must send me a pic of their truck and trailer. Originally this was to protect from double brokering but during this low rate covid thing it’s also turned into keeping #### boxes out of my customers dock. You should see some of the garbage I’ve saw. “Clean with no defects” to some people mean hadn’t been washed in 2 years and the mirror holding together with zip ties. Not even kidding. There are a lot of dollar haulers hanging literally on by a zip tie.

I will say I’ve saw some nice outfits as well. I’m not looking for brand new, just some self respect and effort towards a rig that’ll make it from a to b.

I spoke to my truck insurance rep today. I asked her if she is seeing an uptick in cancellations of coverage. She affirmed she is. Especially with late pays, no pays, etc.

I changed my cargo insurance carrier a back in January to save a few bucks each month. Come to find out that brokers don't like my new insurance because they never pay cargo claims. So I called my agent and asked how much to change back to my previous carrier, and surprise, surprise, the rate for my old carrier is now cheaper than my new coverage by $500 a year.

Some of the rigs I see on the road, I can't believe they run. They usually have a 20 year old trailer too that's rusted out everywhere, and remnants of at least 2 previous carriers who owned the trailer on the sides.

I been riding a golf cart!

I would like to get back to work though, I spend to much money when I’m home this much.

Very nice. Don’t blame you one bit! I’ve only been out 3 times so far this year. It’s been raining like crazy the last couple weeks though and with no end in sight. I’m not big on cart path only. :)

    Check the forecast.
