Does anyone leave their personal vehicle at a truckstop? Ive been wondering because the Petro near me has about 100 spots for cars in front of the building. Its a Petro with a huge parking area and theres always parking available. So the idea is, I could park the company truck there and jump in my car and drive the 15 miles home for hometime.
My free parking options near the house are getting crowded lately and a nearby retail store has been threatening to start towing trucks. I get home about every 2-3 weeks so the car would sit for a while, but never more than 2-3 weeks. Thanks.

Yeah... for some reason unattended trucks at truck stops always bugged me. It just doesn't seem fair to the guys who pull in there after a hard day of running, out of hours, needing a place to park.
I get it, you have to park somewhere, but there is almost always a better option. You might have to pay a little money, but honestly I would rather pay a little money and know that my truck is safe then leave it at a truck stop where anything could happen to it.WildTiger1990, mitmaks, F4T6UY and 9 others Thank this. -
I am totally on board with @Kyle G. The locals in some smaller "truckstops" completely take over the joint on the weekends. When I see some guy pull his personal car next to his truck, unload the laundry and other stuff and take off, I just say to my self that is an engraved invitation for anyone who happens to see the same thing to either break in himself, or call a buddy to do it. Sorry, there are many in the industry who think like that these days.

If anyone who is not a thief has anything to add it would be appreciated. Nothing worse than a thief. I will not associate with thieves.
