####. I’ve always wondered what O/O were making pulling containers from NJ. Out here in Norfolk, Va before the pandemic hit I knew drivers that would make $600 for a drive to North Carolina and back to Va 6hrs total and still pick up a Walmart load 80 miles total for $200. Some would stick with Walmart try to haul 4 loads for $800 in a day, but it would be close to a 14hr day depending how much traffic was in the port and the area in general. These guys were all leased to Schneider and Hudd

Hahahaha. My first trucking job was Port East in 1990. Driving those horrible R Model Macks with no AC no radio and I believe some had no power steering.

I was so happy just to be driving at 21 yrs old that I didn't care how dangerous those containers were and just how little money I was making.

I do have so great container hauling stories though!
