SCANIA 124/ 470 engine start but not run.

    Hi all

    SCANIA series 4 124/470 HPI engine pulling 70tonne going up hill with 2nd gear and the engine shut down on the road, trun the key and startor crank but engine dont run, fault codes with low fuel pressure.
    try to replace new fuel filter, and doing some on the engine but wont help.

    can somebody help please....

    71. fuel supply pressure.

    what is the issue to effect the truck engine can start but cant running? sensor or ECU?

    HPI is same as the HPI used by Cummins. I think the fuelpump or fuel pressure regulator is out of commissioning or a blocked fuel filter if your lucky.
    It's not the first time we have seen it that an engine stales and can not be started without some help to get the RPM up a bit.
    Best way to find out is connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel filter and look what kind of pressure you get. Should be around or above 8Bar or 116PSI from what I remember.

    Where is located the fuel pressure regulator because my scania accelerate without my permissions.Till I changed oil and filters the truck worked perfectly fine now not.
