Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Any luck with the schools? -
wow, lots of drivers around the Chicagoland area, i live about 2 hours south of chicago, "we should start our own trucking company with all these drivers responding to this post alone (just kidding)". Seriously though, keep looking around, there is abundance of info on the interweb about becoming an owner operator.
latoya thurmond Thanks this. -
Yeah I am still looking at every thing. -
Yes found school and signed up for classes. Whats up?
-
did it cost a lot? -
Which school did you go to and what was the price? My cousin is looking to get his CDL, so I'm asking.
-
so which school did your cousin go to?
-
I believe standard pay for owner operator is around headhaul 1.35 - 1.9 per mile /depends on the direction/ and aroun 1$ per mile as a back-haul. These are Chicagoland based rates.
