I've had Goodyears, Sumis and Michelin.... I'll spend the $1100 for Michelins any and every time I replace steers. Using centramatics with them gives a nice, wobble free ride that doesn't 'seam' track like some other tires.
Conti vs Michelin steer tires, which is the best choice?

When looking at prices for tires, also ask dealer how much they will buy the casing back for. Around me you will get around $60 for a Michelin casing so take that into account when looking at upfront cost.

Since I went Michelin I haven't considered anything else

Michelin all the way, they last 200k easy, now I am running Continental, because I got them on special $370 each before tax.

Only run Michelin’s all around, always get over 200k out of steers and 400k on drives

Another vote for Michelin. Over the years we've tried everything and our cost-per-mile for Michelins beats the cheapy tires.
