I've had Goodyears, Sumis and Michelin.... I'll spend the $1100 for Michelins any and every time I replace steers. Using centramatics with them gives a nice, wobble free ride that doesn't 'seam' track like some other tires.

XZE 2 is a regional tire with no decoupling groove. X line is line haul with decoupling groove.

When looking at prices for tires, also ask dealer how much they will buy the casing back for. Around me you will get around $60 for a Michelin casing so take that into account when looking at upfront cost.

Michelin all the way, they last 200k easy, now I am running Continental, because I got them on special $370 each before tax.

I bought Bridgestone r268 steers today under a Mega's national account for $415. My price without that account at the same tire chain would have been $600.
    Talk about buying power

Only run Michelin’s all around, always get over 200k out of steers and 400k on drives

While I still think Michelin steers are the best, I had to get something cheaper, because I have troubles with my front end, which ruins tires. Yesterday got a new MD alignment done, so I will see how things go this time

Another vote for Michelin. Over the years we've tried everything and our cost-per-mile for Michelins beats the cheapy tires.
