After about 10 plus years of cruisin' ALL the highways (AND byways...) I did just that. Didn't even take a paycut. Take your 4 days home, and stir some cauldrons. <<< I did just that! Got my tank and my current local intrastate job.. not on Indeed or Glassdoor or Tenstreet, but... just asking around, and 'keeping up' with the local stuff. It works. You earned it.

Look into LTL / Linehaul; you've got some time under your belt; can't hurt to try! I got tired of pulling pups when I drove for FX/LH the CLE to SAC (team) run OTR.... so never chose or tried that route, of LTL pursuit.. You are young; you can, tho!

Just a few miles up the road and up 395 is where I had my only "incident" 30 years at the wheel. South on 395 junction of 395 and CA 18 (Victorville) lady came across center median and 3 lanes, I avoided and she redirected turned right into me catching my front right headlight and grill ... suicide by big truck...official DOT entry. She had a history of attempts, she succeeded this time, thinking back I was glad she chose me and not the short school bus behind me. Learned one thing...Victorville has the hawtest deputy coroner I've ever seen!
Once the fire/medics/leo's found out I was a former paramedic and licensed mortician....all the sick jokes opened up and everyone relaxed. Company had a mandatory 7 day cool down period after fatal involvement..full average week pay.
    Glad you're OK!

We miss you around these parts, that's for sure. Being home with an 'issue' really is actually a blessing / good timing, right now~! ;)

Oh yeah...timing was PERFECT! Circumstances could have been better...it is what it is.
So picking up the newest toy tomorrow

Tried getting it at Home Depot....unknown date to order, back order dates out at least 4 weeks. Tried Lowes..their web site kept kicking out the order claiming too busy, try again tomorrow....mama checked WalMart....sure enough.....OH YEAH GOOD TIMES ON THE DECK THIS summer!

Too dang bad you're a 'few' states away, haha! I'd stop by and join ya!

WalMart . . . quick story. My son 'blew' a 'newish' tire on the Mitsubishi that's earmarked for him, Sunday when I let him drive w/his permit. Tire stores closed, WalMart open. Try to do the online order dealio where they will send you an e'mail for pickup and it earmarks 'not available for pickup' (ever.)

So ^^^^ wife calls the store, gets the runaround, order online for 2 day del'y, blah blah blah.... and that's it. So SHE thought. I took the tire size, walked behind the chains to the closed auto department, and picked my OWN darn tire up, and brought it to checkout. After arguiing w/ a female manager, I got a male to approve the purchase..... and FIXED THE CAR. (It's on.... I've got tools; balancers and all!) WalMart aggravates me, but sometimes it's all ya GOT, GUYS & GALS~!

Nice grille, man... making me hungry!

Gonna grab another homemade cheeseburger w/the works, the wife fixed and kill the rest of the salad before my nap.

I do the 8/2 split at home... works just fine~! ;)

Have been looking for one of these. Can’t find any dealer that have them. For some reason, the Broil-King brand is hard to find. They get great reviews.
