If my employer docked anything from a 'bad' inspection, that would be the last day I worked there.
I dont use a creeper to do a pre-trip. I walk around w/tire thumper, flashlight, check paperwork, check fliuds, if i note a defect, enter in Quallcomm, then take different unit. Repeat. -
Inspections are often times few and far between. If you passed one inspection once every 1.25 years, you're efforts are rewarded by a dollar and change per day..,.not worth the risk and stress

I looked up this topic because I've been to freightliner three times for transmission failure and they are being poops. This last one disabled my left lane control and at some point waiting there my APU stopped functioning. I realized I had no fuel right fuel tank. Let my company know. Fueled and the bunk controls are not functioning correctly. My AC spits out hot air and both the fan and heat kick off the APU which still appears to be functioning. Coincidence? Maybe. But I believe that left lane alert disabled and the bunk heat could potentially be dangerous because obviously I am stressed and not sleeping combined with losing that lane alert could put me into oncoming traffic. Any ways, I want to make sure there hasn't been any vehicle tampering. Im headed to a company terminal for repair and I dont pay for repairs. Find all you want. I would like to bring criminal charges to the freightliner. They are governed by FMCSA as well. The one before this disabled my alarm system. All this stuff needs fixed. Any CSA points just gives me something to complain to the government about.
