My gauges sweep when I turn the key on. My speed sensor has 2 wires that go into the wiring harness to the ECM. I also have another sensor higher up on the transmission that has 2 wires coming from it into the same wiring harness the speed sensor is in. I'm not sure what that sensor is?
I think the speed data comes from the sensor to the ECM to the speedometer. Everything behind the dash looks good and adequately plugged in.

The other plug is probably your reverse light switch. Follow the harness the best you can and see if it rubbed through anywhere.

Buenos días, ¿podría alguien decirme para qué son los conectores en el círculo? ¿Cuál de estos cables es para el sensor de tacómetro?
    Gracias.

Hello, sorry for the inconvenience, won't you have the diagram to connect the tachometer? If so, I would greatly appreciate it. Beforehand thank you very much.

The tach connection is in the same diagram that I linked in that other post.

I checked the continuity in the wires from the speed sensor and they are fine, so it isn't a break there. I guess the final 2 parts to check are the dash gauges themselves and the ECM. But I just had the ECM reprogrammed about a month and a half ago. I'm really at a loss here.

Heavyd, I've had a mechanic work on my truck with the speedo issue (speedo doesn't work and is cutting power to the engine). He replaced the wires from the speed sensor to the ECM and he tested the ECM and instrument cluster from another truck and it still didn't work. I have a 2 wire speed sensor btw. Any insight would be appreciated!

Road test it with insite connected to see if the ECM is seeing any road speed at all. If the wiring is good between the sensor and ecm, did he test the sensor? I think those are about 600-800 ohms.
