    Yep..same computer.

It will work for a few minutes after I reinstall it...then quits again. And you are correct...its either a driver issue or the antenna itself (not sure which). It is the BU-353 I think.

The program is still good and I am going to see if I can sell it...I have the case, books and codes for it.

I will play around with it some tomorrow and see if I can find out exactly whats going wrong (I'm on a restart...time on my hands)

Its the USB port on my computer...wore out, all 4 of them are about gone but the one I use the most is done for.

It will work for my USB modem as long as the modem doesn't get moved around any...but if you move it the least little bit it loses its connection.

Wow! Wore then all out, huh? I haven't seen that one yet. If you have a card slot on the side of that laptop you can get a USB 2.0 extender card. They come with anywhere from 1 - 4 "extra" USB ports. That would at least allow you to still get some more life out of that laptop. Just make sure you identify whether your laptop takes PCMCIA (wider) or Express (thinner) cards first.

It takes Express cards...they still work, but aren't gonna last much longer. I'm waiting on Windows 7 to come out before buying a new laptop.

If you buy one with vista on it, you get a free upgrade to windows7. I mean, if that's all that's stopping you.

DieselBoss has been saying how much better the V23 maps are than any previous version...HE IS RIGHT (not that I doubted him, just sayin)

I didn't really notice it until last night when I had to go into downtown Pittsburgh to pick up a load...I picked the route myself (not completely trusting any GPS in a place like that)...then punched the address into the PCM 440.

At first the 440 wanted me to go a different way (it was still on truck routes), but after I passed the exit it wanted me to take...it recalculated the route and came up with the exact route that I picked myself and led me straight to the shipper.

I'm still not gonna trust it completely (never will), but it earned its keep last night in my opinion.

    Dieselboss Thanks this.
