It's a nice set up so can you get a sprinter size van or a truck on the rear section of the tractor or just car size? -

So out of curiosity, when you modify a tractor like that with a bed on the back of it, do they have to get it certified by the truck manufacturer, or is it sort of same as putting a flatbed on a commercial pick up truck?
Is the semi still considered a tractor at that point or does it get treated as a truck with the overall 65" length restriction?KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
I didn't have to "recertify" it as a tractor because that truck was originally sold as a cab/chassis, not as a tractor, it is registered as a straight truck, trailer combo. As far as doing it to a "tractor", not really sure anyone would really press you on it?
