We used TRP straps by the case and i liked them more than kinedyne. Kinedyne were tough but way too stiff for my liking. Firehose edge protectors required for hauling rock.

On that pallet racking you had, id have looped around the piles like a belt, drawing them together with the strap and levering with winchbar until they touch and unitize. the strap tail needs to be braided over the hooks so they dont unclasp if slacked.

Then strap over the top like normal. If the outer units are bending i put dunnage on top then strap over the dunnage. I use lots of twists on delicate stuff. Ill roll the strap until it looks like a rope if thats what i have to do to stop the flutter.

Regarding hand ratchet collection.. You can use two or 3 binders on one single strap especially on small crates or loose odd pieces. Bind it with hand ratchet as normal, cinch it good then run the tail back over and slide another hand ratchet on, bind it down again. Ive done 3 ratchets on one strap to keep a clusterfunk still.

I think i may just have the cheap version of kinedyne. They are really light compared to the grey ones i have.

Man these rock quarry loads are something else . We went straight up to the top of the mountain, about 9 miles offroad to load these big rocks so somebody can display them in their yard, in front of their house  ... the road was one of those logging trails where u got to call out the mile markers on the cb , cuz the road is only big enough for 1 truck but its for inbound and outbound truck traffic ... was a fun time . Im always game for an offroad adventure.. We have a couple more of these loads booked for this week and possibly next week... should be fun..
