So their are a lot of subjects on these mattress so i am finding out....long story short, I bought a TRP mattress to replace the no name one in my truck that i think i have had for 10 years. Came with the truck. Truthfully when i first got that truck the mattress was hands down amazing, I found myself sleeping in. Fast forward to last few weeks its been giving me fits. Being that it was a no name or tag came off mattress, i just bought a cheapo TRP (200 bucks not cheap). Its lousy, i wake up on the bottom of the mattress and have developed a back issues because of it. Now far as mattresses go, seems skys the limit. Innerspace on Raneys has good reviews and so do the Minimizers. I just cant justify 850 bucks for a mattress.......or 600 really. Anyone have direct experience with either the Innerspace or the Minimizers? I also see a brand called Drift that looks nice too.
My other hesitation is I am wanting to buy a newer truck come end of the year if the money is right. I am leaning very hard on a T680, 579 or a Cascadia. Truthfully i would love one of the new Volvos but the parts are very premium and not sure how i feel about learning a new to me brand. With that said im not positive if the mattress would transfer over directly. Sounds petty but that is where i am at with buying an expensive mattress. Anyone with a 680 or a 579 confirm the mattress size in there trucks? Standard sleeper. Right now my mattress in my 387 is 42*80.

Minimizer is a great mattress, look for a firm mattress rather than one that is on the softer size. My minimizer is perfectly firm and actually helps with my back pain that I have had for many years after a bad car accident back in 2013.
It is worth the bucks. Another suggestion, when you get by joplin, check out the mattress on display and see if you're "feelin it.'D.Tibbitt, Trucking in Tennessee, singlescrewshaker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Thanks and yeah im 190 clothed. Thats why i was surprised i ended up at the bottom of the mattress.
Yeah i would like to get out to Joplin but my runs dont venture that way anymore. And i kinda prefer what i am doing now anyways.D.Tibbitt and singlescrewshaker Thank this. -
I've got an 8", 36"x80" sleep dog mattress. Its quite comfortable. My L5 is disintegrated, & L3 & L4 are herniated as well. I can sleep 8-10 hours without waking, depending on how wore out I am when I get sideways..
Looks like they discontinued the 8" & 10" in favor of a 7", & 9" versions. According to their site, they are on sale right now.
The 42"×80"×9" top of the line will run you $575 right now.
If you average out the cost by nights slept comfortably, you'd be at $3.19 per night for the next 180days till years end. That's if you couldn't bring it to your new truck. Only gets cheaper per night if it will fit in new trucks bunk. Sounds like a drop in the bucket to get good rest too me..Midwest Trucker Thanks this. -

I bought my memory foam mattress off Amazon and works fine. Bought one for my dad too and he's very happy with it. I couldn't justify spending that much money on a mattress.

I cannot imagine a more personal item than this. I went to the Louisville truck show one year and tested out all of the 11 vendors there selling mattresses.
BigRig Mattress is where I ended up. Dalton GA. Bought one for my home I liked it so much. Individual pocketed coils.
