    HEY!
I'm hearing the making of a county western song there. I'd be inclined to work on the lyrics during your down time.
    Just a thought.

Ordinarily, in other industries, perhaps that's true. But this is the Big truck truckin' industry. Here the squeaky wheel doesn't get the grease, it gets replaced.

    At any rate, good luck.
You're doing the right thing by asking questions and venting your frustrations here rather than out on the road.
I wish for you the best of success.

Actually everyone here is saying to pressure dispatch for loads. Except you. If you enjoy sitting on a truck for free, 3 days of each week, come replace me. Perhaps we can switch. Lol. Me? I’m out here to make money and I’ve proven myself. Just as I have an every job I’ve ever worked in my entire life. Employee of the year, quarter and month at every single place I’ve worked throughout my entire working history. Trucking will be no different.

to me it’s pretty simple. I have a CDL in my pocket which my school described as “gold“. If the company I work for doesn’t want to use it, then another will. It’s that simple.

    You just don't get it.
You have no leverage in this game your playing.
There's a million of us that can replace you right now.
    Your company knows that.

If you already complained about the lack of miles
Your getting, and nothing has changed, then it is
What it is. They don't care about your complaints.

    Now it's up to you,
Find another job or quit crying and roll with what they have.
That's trucking. That's the way it is.

TokyoJoe, mover man and lsnook24 Thank this.

That’s not how I roll. You’re the guy who when you go into the shipper and receiver and they totally disrespect you right to your face you just take it. I’m the guy that steps up with a low tone of voice and says “can you explain to me what your problem with me is other than I’m a nasty truck driver”

I don’t disrespect anyone unless they ask for it. A trucking company included. If they make promises and break them? It’s being disrespected. If you let them get away with it, they’ll continue it.

I’ve posted on here before how I’ve been in ah, how willing so many truckers are to be crapped on out there. Of course what you say is true, IF YOU ALLOW IT. “That’s trucking” just bend over? Nah, I’m a man, I learned how to stand up for myself and perhaps you should do the same buddy.

    TokyoJoe Thanks this.

    More like tin.

Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to attend a CDL school so I don't know what else they told you that was total BS. How many people were in your class, in the class before you, in the class after you...how many times you see a some mega driver doing something incredibly stupid...those people have a CDL in their pocket too...

You already delivered so this is not. This run included a weekend right? I would have just run like normal. Fri or sat I'd of got a room, bough some adults beverages (if no local places were open) Sat back enjoyed my weekend with a air conditioned room, with a bed that doesnt move, and a shower I dont have to share. Delivered 1st thing Monday morning and got dispatched about the same time your gonna get dispatched now. Also monday I'd be telling dispatch "I have a fresh 34 and you no I've had a bad couple of weeks" Spent the weekend reading truck pubs and looking at face book ads. I like it here so let's go trucking. I got Bill's to pay.
