What's worse then the liars counter
....business advice from a cashier , something will come in but I am sure it will be different as it should be thier resteraunt model was way dated and in need of an update when the smoke clears it will be a mix of different franchises and or spaced leased out to people who actually know how to run resteraunts . I still believe in the end it will be a net positive.

Maybe the ELDs help destroy their business model. Plus the crappy food. Their restaurants used to full and before Covid19 you could see how empty they were. They could not even make a good hamburger and fries. I think the paid parking hurt them because who wants to deal with that in middle of the day if you stopping to get something to eat. It like they are saying your not welcome here, you can only park in back rows. I don't see what they have to open back up to. They basically chased all their customers away when they needed them the most. It been 2 months now they have been closed. Who needs them anymore we have figured out other plans. Maybe they will reopen.

If I remember that place correctly (been awhile) a huge chunk of their parking is reserved. I’m not going to spend any money on the diner if over half your parking spots are reserved. Would have made much more $$$ of me cause I love my T-bone steaks regardless of the price and I’m a good tipper issue is I don’t visit the diner every time too expensive to be doing it every day. But if you’re going to be greedy and charge to park I’ll go somewhere else. I don’t mind reserve parking it’s great when you know you’re going to get there pretty late you call them up around noon and pay for the spot but it’s aggrivating you have to nickel and dime us. The bordentown petro had the right idea of pay to park but if you buy $15 worth of stuff parking is free, sadly now it’s $25. I understand this is a business you’re here to make money and there are a lot of cheap drivers that just come in park for the night leave piss on the toilet seat and don’t buy anything but there are other ways to make sure people chime in other than making 75% of the place reserve parking.

TA/Petro used to be the go to truckstops way back in the past. Great food at Iron Skillet or Country Pride, free parking and dependable shops for service.
Now the restaurants are going away partly for more drivers eating in their cabs, their prices are too high, paid parking for over half the lots and the shops are doing shoddy work.
If they keep going in this direction they will have lost all respect from the trucking industry that supports them and will end up closed.
