Noticed today that the air conditioner in the cab seemed to be changing speeds on it’s on, within a few hours it had stopped blowing all together. The air in the bunk is working as it should. After reading a few of the threads here I checked for a motor noise in the dash. I turned the control to low and the gradually up and the only thing I hear is a very faint high pitched noise. Does anyone have any ideas? Any info would be greatly appreciated. 2018 Volvo 780 D13 UPDATE: The bunk air has stopped blowing as well

On the cab blower motor most likely died. You can get new one from a volvo dealership and do it yourself. Or have a dealership or your own mechanic do it. Pretty simple, just time consuming. Some videos on youtube on how to do them. On the bunk most likely the same, weird for both of them to go at the same time. Crap happens.

I'm betting the dash control died. Too many weird symptoms for blower fan only. I was thinking that with the 'no noise but high pitched whine' but too much else going on.
I've been told they fail often but my 2015 is still hanging on at 800k. -
So my heater controller was acting up. The fan would cut in and out. Playing with the speed control it would come on and would work for a while. A new one is $440 Cdn but ... had the incorrect controller for my truck. Mine has the degrees rather then blue to red. What I did was take it apart and use the front cover from incorrect controller and the printed circuit board of correct controller and combined the two. It works. No more issues. Jumped for joy. Both boards are the same except the degree controller has a extra contact. The chip that runs the controller has the same serial number. The circuit board is same except for the extra contact. Hope this helps someone.
