I like what I'm hearing from you, but I just took the whole assembly off, it's sturdy and looks just like it did when it went in. I put it back in already.

But yeah it's purring in neutral, only rattles and shakes in a few gears. The others do nothing, and 7 and 9 seem like they want to go...

I may try to drop this trailer and see if it won't go in 7th.

Word. Need to get that load delivered SOMEhow. You (your Pete) needs the money! At very least see if you can get that load repowered ASAP. You'll stand to get something out of it, or you could at least ask whoever is repowering it to share the money. Have you called your broker yet?

:biggrin_1square1:lets us take a guess, your a super trucker whos haveing a hard time and blameing it on guys like pharm who has put everthing he has on the line like some of the rest of us trying to feed our familys and i know of a few of us that have jumped into this pool and are paddleing with everything weve got to stay afloat ,and pay for our trucks and take care of our familys, its not our fault that when the rates were good you burried youself in big truck payments and big morgages and big car payments and now your teying to figure out how your gona pay for them when things are tough,so if i was you i would go back in your little corner and sit and be quiet so we can help one another thru the battles,,,,,,,,,,,its people like you that give the good people in the trucking world a bad name...glad you know it all,,if you so good roll up your sleeves and gi ve us a hand big boy:biggrin_1square5:

The only thing to do now is to open up the shift bar housing and take a look inside. At this point it sounds as if one of the bars is malfunctioning and/or you got some bent forks.

Can you remember back to grinding any gears just before it stopped working in those gears?

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

we all started off as rookies though. every rookie screws up. it's called a learning curve. it comes with the territory. doesn't mean throw in the towel. and it certainly don't mean knocking a guy down either.

don't matter who you are or what your doing. the rookie step will always be the first step. and for some people, the rookie step takes longer then others. anyone that has some common decency about themselves, will take the time to help the rookies. not bad mouth them.

if you can't talk nice about people, don't talk about them at all.

mabey so medman but the idea of this thread is to help one another and pe as positve as possable, yes rob has had some mech problems ,some his fault and some not,my point being 1) this is someone out of the blue that came into this thread and tryed to belittle a man who doing what he can!!!!how do you knock a man for trying, you dont know if you dont try,it gos for all of us not just rob, in my book its down right rude and unexscuseable!!!!if hes that good lend a hand to a fellow trucker ,or as our mothers use to say if you dont have something nice to say dont say it at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
