As I've said, I don't do it (high beam flash) myself, but it doesn't bother me when someone does and I can't understand how bent out of shape some of you seem to get about it. Your reaction is way out of proportion. Nobody has been blinded... no retinas have been seared. It's just another thing for some drivers to complain about. More nitpicking on other drivers... more animosity ... less unity ... another part of the problem. The guy that flashed his lights at you was just trying to be courteous ... and all you can do is find fault.

I still haven't seen where you tell what your truck is. Wex has mainly international and freightliner. My international 2020 has this for headlight interruption . Under the radio controls it's the headlight picture with the line thru it. ...pretty intuitive I think 20200618_180947.jpg

That’s what I do, and hit them back with brights, after they pass Me. I really don’t think they care. Surely they get the message.

For your information, some people are more sensitive to bright lights than others. Sometimes it’s caused by certain vitamin deficiency. I myself, as I’ve gotten older, have noticed a change. I run mostly at night, and bright lights are not only literally painful, but cause a very sudden tired feeling. If that makes me a snowflake in today’s virtual Rambo world, so be it. I just think a Driver should act like a Professional, if he expects to be treated like one. Using bright lights, should be a common sense thing. Not even worth debating.

I’m always on my courtesy lights to any driver or 4 wheeler that cuts me a break letting me get in or over

Our first trainer at the mega we trained at made it a game to see how many courtesy flashes he could get compared to us he was training .

Good guy and a Great trainer .We learned more in the week he trained us than what we learned the following 3 weeks after he left for the railroad.

The answer to your question Mtr Macho is...it seem as though the "offending flashing driver" times it so just as I look in mirror he hits me with the high beams. Usually on the darkest part of the night, on a road with out street lights.
I wait till i think I've passed, quick glance over. Nope can't see BOTH headlights yet. Wait 5 more seconds, hand on turn signal stalk ready to put on blinker. 1, 2, 3, look over and FLASH!! Mudder fudge REALLY??!

    jinxutoo and Coffey Thank this.
