I’m in MT tonight. Belgrade. Deliver 10am in morning. Then pick up at a mine.
Got both of these from Landstar.

Oh yeah... I sat down and went over a few concerns reguarding our current eld's with our safety and compliance guy today. Mainly that it doesnt correctly apply certain exemptions when the driver selects to use such exemptions.
But as I tend to have very clean, compliant, and fully notated logs he likes to get my input on the rest of the package we got with our eld's (dispatch software, dashcam/driving event software, ect.). As a result of this conversation he is going to propose one of my ideas to the ELD manufacturer (who we work with pretty closely for new features and updates).
Currently our ELD will only show 1 of the clocks that pertains to logs while driving (which ever one will run out first). This can sometimes make it difficult to plan breaks and stops while still maximizing travel time and distance... Especially when trying to run to within a few mins of either the 11 or 14 hour clock running out. My idea is the unit should display all 4 relevant clocks (8, 11, 14, 70), and one button (that would switch between these clocks and the navigation software) automatically when it detects the truck is in motion... Instead of just locking the touch screen, as it currently does.
Also he changed one of the driving event parameters... Company's max allowed speed, which was 80 mph with old platform, but went to 75 mph when we switched ELD providers... He changed it back to 80 mph, which will eliminate about 95% of the "Max Speed Limit Exceeded" events company wide.
Not that he has ever said anything to me about going over 75 mph (a common occurance) but it will be nice to not have the #### computer yelling at me every time it happens. -
Fire, where????
Cleaned up the oil spill.
No mention of how the beer contamination was handled.
Puzzling??? -
Unfortunately... I’m headed East with the load from the mine.
