Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0

Going to work 2 days this week, Wednesday and Thursday. $2,250 on 480 miles heading north, then an LTL load home making about the same. Will be home Thursday night. The lead up to the 4th holiday is typically my best paying each year along with a couple weeks before Christmas Unfortunately this year I have family matters to attend to, but thankful I managed to get 2 good loads in this week. It's times like this that I'm really glad I'm no longer a company driver. Making more money and working a lot less hours on loads that I choose makes it all worth while.

 

It’s looking like I’ll be loading for that new broker I mentioned awhile back. He has two ltl’s that I can have my pick of,and possibly some short stuff going to cold storage.

 

That is a good sign. We're starting to see and push rates at where they were pre-'Rona, so here's hoping it's smooth sailing ahead.

 

Back to the sail boat analogies I love it.

Scooter I talked to a manager that said he was bringing back the whole force plus 10%.
